"Infuse your Life with Art" Artist Trevor Ledford

I met Trevor a couple of years ago at a tattoo convention. Since, I've done several sessions with him and recently I got to collaborate with him by doing a video entitled "Infuse your Life with Art." I am so stoked to share Trevor and his vision with you guys. He has a gallery show coming up soon, so I wanted to share that info with you guys as well as his bio so you can get to know the mind behind the art a little bit.

His Gallery Show will be held 

Place: Creative Arts Guild, 520 West Waugh St., Dalton, Ga 30720

Date: May 6, 2016 (opening reception), will be displayed throughout May, Reception time: 5:30-7:30 PM

Trevor says "I have been an artist my entire life, and an art educator for the past 13 years. I prefer to work mainly within the mediums of drawing & painting. A lot of my art tends to have a pop feel to it due to my love of highly saturated colors & high contrast values. I try to grab your attention with the image and create an emotional connection. My work is meant to be experienced in a visceral way. Always looking for new ways to create & share my art, I’m very experimental. I’ve shown my work all over the world. It’s cool to think that there are little bits of me scattered everywhere!"

A few Sundays ago, Christine Bordeaux and I, welcomed four amazing ladies to a special event at the Blackbeard Tattoo shop in Chattanooga, TN. Christine provided hair and makeup, and turned the ladies into bombshells from the years gone by. We had a lot of fun and shot a little behind the scenes video as well to just give a sampling of what all went down that day.

TRD Photography RAW goes Video w/Leighann Word

TRD Photography RAW goes Video...

A big push that I've been working on lately is doing more raw, unedited type work. I call it TRD Photography RAW and I talked about it in a previous blog. This time I went a little further.

The other day model Leighann Word was in town after booking me for a session. After we finished it, we decided to do a raw shoot as well. Leighann took it a step further and did the raw shoot, without makeup either. ( Stay Tuned as I plan to announce a further series soon) We then decided to actually do one of the bts videos of our raw shoot. I hope you dig it.

Let's face it, my job means I get to hang out with pretty awesome people. I love what I do and I really enjoy getting to see different sides of people that not everyone else does. I've worked with Dalis for a couple of years now and it's always a pleasure. During our recent shoot, we decided to try out some video as well. I'm no videographer, but it was a lot of fun goofing off. I wanted to share with you a 15 second snippet from the full video which you can also check out on YouTube as well. This is a more recent edit, hence the better music... I'm still learning!

So I've known Cali for quite a few years now and we recently got together for a new shoot. Cali's a pretty fantastic photographer in her own right and she's the one that inspired me to even mess around with video. We decided to put together a bts video from our shoot.

I'm really stoked about this video as it's my fourth one, and in this one I decided to try some different ideas with lighting that was formulating in my head since my last one, and I'm pretty stoked about the results. What do you guys think?

BTS Video - First Time for Everything

I've never played with video at all. It's something that I've wanted to try but frankly the idea kinda freaked me out. A good friend of mine recently did a video and it inspired me to give it a shot. Thanks Cali!

So this is from behind the scenes of one of the sets I did today with Monique Taylor. I've not Mo for quite a while now. One of my best friends in the world, Raven Lee, did the hair and makeup and she did an incredible job! I hope you guys dig this and I hope to do more videos in the near future!
